I know you didn't think I was going to let the year end without a best of playlist?!
2022 was an incredible year for full projects I know I'll be listening well into 2023. A lot of them have become soundtracks to key moments this year, I mean, need I go on? We all remember where we were when 'Renaissance' dropped lol. I didn't know what to expect but 5 or so months later and I'm still rinsing this album as if it dropped yesterday!
Next year, I'd love to find and interact with more up-and-coming musicians and speaking of next year, I pray we all have the 2023 we deserve. I'm already seeing some of the fruits of my 2022 labour, so as always, I'm optimistic and excited and ready to embrace all that's to come.
I think at this point, just surviving and making it to 2023 alive is a huge accomplishment, one that we take for granted. For those of us who have massive goals to accomplish, I pray for consistency, energy and vision to see the other side of those accomplishments and when things are out of our control, we embrace the situation the best we can and keep going.
Easier said than done of course, but my life, by the grace of God, is a testament to what happens when you choose to keep going no matter what.
